Autism Speaks Golf Classic The Oaks at Valencia
Honoring Founder Mary Antonucci on Nov 20th 2023
Dear Friends,
First and foremost, I want to take the opportunity to express my
deepest thanks for your generous support of our annual Topping
Brothers Invitational supporting Autism Speaks, an organization near
and dear to me and my family. As many of you know, this homegrown
tournament has been hosted over the past 12 years and we are
so grateful for all of you, our sponsors, players, auction donors and
wonderful volunteers!
I am writing to share that we are making a few modest changes to
our event this year. Autism Speaks will be producing the event, from
sending invites, collecting the financial support, and event day
coordination. Team Topping is thankful for this new format! We will
still be enjoying the golf, the fellowship and supporting Autism Speaks,
just as we always have. This new change is made in the spirit of giving –
to help families, children, and adults and continually support the
autism community. Together, we want to see a world where all people
with autism can reach their full potential.
So, many thanks to those that have supported our past events. We look
forward to growing our tournament, and we hope to see you Monday,
November 20 at the Oaks Club in Valencia!
Best Wishes,
Team Topping

Autism is the fastest growing developmental disorder, affecting 1 in 54 children born today. It occurs in all racial, ethnic, and social groups and is four times more likely to strike boys than girls. Despite the high prevalence and growing health care costs associated with caring for a child with autism, autism research receives less than 5% of the research funding of many other, less prevalent, childhood diseases. More children will be diagnosed with autism this year than with AIDS, diabetes & cancer combined. There is no cure so its important to fund research into the causes of autism, how it can be diagnosed and treated early.
